Private Equity Job – Investment Analyst – Boston, MA

The Firm is a leading alternative investment firm that invests in a wide variety of opportunistic and value-oriented transactions across private equity, distressed debt and commercial real estate where conditions exist for compelling absolute returns over a short and medium duration.

The Firm is seeking a private equity analyst for the investment team that will play an active role in the private equity investment process with the opportunity to work on all aspects of the investment process, including acquisitions, management lift-outs, sales/dispositions and portfolio management.

Candidates should possess broad-based analytical skills, superior capabilities with private equity analyses and proven research skills. A background in investing in the financial services sector is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference for a Candidates concentrating in accounting, finance or economics. 2-3 years of related experience in the investment industry. Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills utilizing Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively meet deadlines. Strong writing, presentation, listening, reading comprehension and communication skills. Team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure in an entrepreneurial environment. Outstanding level of attention to detail, accountability, integrity and ethics. Ability to assess transaction strategies, capital strategies and assist in the structuring of potential transactions.
