AlpInvest Partners is a global private equity firm, founded in 1999. It has more than 55 investment professionals and has offices in Amsterdam, New York and Hong Kong. The firm manages assets of more than €42bn. AlpInvest invests across Fund Investments, Secondary Investments, Co-Investments as well as Mezzanine.
AlpInvest Partners has been the investment manager for the two Dutch pension asset managers, PG and PGGM Investments. In 2011, a strategic joint venture between the Carlyle Group and AlpInvest management acquired APG and PGGM Investments.
Fund Investments
AlpInvest Partners’s Fund Investment team manages allocation of more than €4 billion per year with total commitments of more than €27 billion. The team is the proactive partner in the private equity market, including large buyouts, growth buyouts, Venture Capital, Mezzanine, Distressed Securities, Secondary and Sustainable Energy.
Secondary Investments
Since 2000, The AlpInvest Partners Secondary Investment team has created liquidity and restructuring solutions, with transaction value exceed €2 billion. The team partner with private equity investors providing best solutions.

Since 2000, The AlpInvest Partners Co-Investments team has invested more than €3 billion in more than 100 transactions. They can invest from €10 million to €250 million per company. The firm invests in local small businesses up to global companies throughout Europe, North America, and Asia.

Mezzanine
The AlpInvest Partners Mezzanine Investments team has invested €900 million since 2001. Their average investment size is around €35 million, but they are capable of making €75 million investment in a transaction. The team focuses on direct transaction investments. They invest in securities including senior notes, subordinated debt, preferred and common stock.
