The fourth annual Women’s Private Equity Summit is scheduled for March 3-4, 2011, at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay resort in California. Billed as a must-attend event for senior-level women in private equity jobs and venture capital, the event will attract general partners, limited partners and advisors to the industry, according to a release by PR Newswire.
The Summit is designed to spark networking, fundraising, and deal-making opportunities. Close to 350 influential women executives attended last year’s conference, so it’s easy to see how it could help you establish some valuable contacts for the future and possibly network for your next private equity job.
The organizers have so far lined up noted economist Christina D. Romer and Sandra Robertson, CIO and CEO, Oxford University Endowment Management, as keynote speakers. Romer is the former Chair of the Council of Economic Advisors in the Obama administration and is now a Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. Robertson leads the Oxford University Endowment Management Limited (OUEM,) which manages money solely for the charitable entities that comprise the collegiate University of Oxford.
“We’re presenting a compelling, content-rich program that encourages our attendees to network with peers and to engage in candid discussions of the challenges and opportunities facing the business of private equity,” says Summit founder and managing director, Beth Falk.
In addition to the keynotes, the Summit will feature over 40 speakers from the alternative investment world, along with moderated panel discussions, roundtable discussions, and other opportunities.
The Summit is also backed by number of high-profile sponsors, including Proskauer LLP, Denning & Company LLC, Landmark Partners, Kauffman Fellows Program, Robert Toigo Foundation, Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), and more.
